This translucent agate has ribbons of red, clear, white, and rust, that form a chevron pattern. The stone has indentations from the shape of the volcanic rock's gas bubble that served as a mold to form this amazing stone.

These agates were deposited in Minnesota by the Lake Superior Glacier during the last ice age and happen to be the official state gemstone. I start by hunting for the rough stones, then scrub them to reveal their potential, polish them into gem form in my tumbler, and finally, turn them into jewelry.
